Detail of "The Igotta Regata" Beth Peterson, 1998, pen & ink
Ah! You're here! I'm so glad you could make it!
As you can see, I have several rooms in my gallery. I hope you'll stay long enough to
glance into all of them. You'll find a number of pots, sculptures, oils and watercolors, but with a good representation of drawing media and photography as well.
Oh, and *shrug* I guess I should tell you that I have a BFA in studio ceramics from Edinboro
University of Pennsylvania. I actually started as a drawing major, but the clay lured
me away. *grin*
Enjoy the Gallery!
Clay and Ceramics:
I love clay. Working with clay is magical...It is both servant and master, being malleable but also
demanding that you respect what it is and the complexities that make it what it is. Clay offers
a never-ending wealth of possibilities.
Landscapes:
I grew up in (very) rural Pennsylvania, and continue to be most at home
with lots of green space and flowing water around me. I suspect that shows through in my work.
Conceptual:
But the world isn't regulated to the physical...we think, we ponder, and then perhaps we paint. :- )
Animals:
I love animals of all sorts, but must admit to a bias towards mammals...and
a real soft spot for horses.
