Hmmm. So, you are wanting to be able to connect this website to a real-live person?
Such as I am, I suppose I'll have to do....
Me 'n' Art? *chuckle* It really all began with my parents, especially my father. You see, my dad was an art professor (since retired) and is a very highly-qualified artist. I had the great benefit of growing up surrounded by his own work as well as with exposure to art and art history as a whole. So, for me, being an artist was actually something pretty normal...It wasn't the unknown avenue that it has seemed to be for so many other people I've met in my life. After a wonderful childhood roaming the Pennsylvania countryside, I went to college myself in the BFA program at Edinboro Univ. I had started out at first as a drawing major, but as soon as I had Ceramics 101, I was hooked. I switched majors and didn't look back. I loved clay. That isn't the end of the story, though. Not by a long shot! Although I have always continued to work in the arts (one way or another), there is more to me than that. I also have an MA in Clinical Psychology, although I don't actively work in the field anymore. I have worked with some very difficult populations, including child molesters and other sexual offenders, victims of molestation (including adults who were victimized in their childhoods), victims of domestic violence, victims and survivors of cults and other ultra-authoritarian groups and relationships, and developmentally disabled adults who have severe behavioral outbursts. I have a strong focus on dysfunctional relationships, in particular those in which extreme levels of manipulation are used, and in personal growth through self-understanding. |
